Steinbeck’s Restaurant
Inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author who penned one of his books on a visit to the area, Steinbeck’s is a unique open-air restaurant - and a synonym of first class. We have an extensive range of premium imported angus beef, fish and seafood, all perfectly cooked over a mesquite wood grill. You will be able to savor your meal while enjoying the most magnificent views of Marina Costabaja. Steinbeck’s has an exclusive selection of wines, carefully chosen to harmonize with each dish prepared by our chefs.
The grill is mesquite — the hard, slow-burning desert wood that grows across northern Mexico and gives Sonoran and Baja cooking its characteristic smoke. It burns hotter than most hardwoods and puts a crust on beef that gas cannot.
The wine list is built for pairing rather than for length. Ask the staff to match rather than reading the list cover to cover; Mexican wine from the Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California is worth trying while you are on the peninsula.
The room is open air and faces Marina CostaBaja, so book earlier on still evenings.
