Six categories, every one with a balcony
Rooms & Suites
Costa Baja Resort & Spa offers five luxurious categories of accommodations, all with inspiring views, from the manicured gardens, pool and Golf Course to La Paz Bay and the Sea of Cortez. All rooms and suites feature wireless Internet, air conditioning, pillow-top beds, flatscreen TV with satellite channels, and balconies with sliding glass door and blackout blinds. For your added comfort and convenience, they also offer coffeemaker, safe, hairdryer, bathrobe and room service.
How the categories differ
The practical split is between garden-side and sea view, and between rooms and suites. Garden-side rooms look over the planting, the main pool or the golf course; sea view rooms face La Paz Bay and the Sea of Cortez, which is where the sunsets are. Rooms measure 23 m²; Super Suites measure 39 m² and add a living room with a seating area and a bar.
The colour schemes across all categories are deliberately dark and rich — a decision made to contrast with the bright, arid landscape outside rather than imitate it. The layout and proportions of the 23 m² rooms make them read as considerably larger than the floor area suggests.
Choosing by traveller
Two adults, first visit
Sea View Deluxe King. The extra cost over a garden room buys the thing you came for, and the balcony is where you will end up every evening at about six.
Family with children under 12
Sea View Deluxe Double takes two adults and two children under 12, with two full beds. Some Deluxe Double rooms can connect to a king room, subject to availability — worth requesting at the time of booking rather than on arrival.
Longer stays and groups
Super Suite Sea View. Large bedroom, separate living room with a wet bar and a sleeper sofa, and a terrace big enough to eat breakfast on. Some have double king beds. This is the category the hotel points VIP guests and multi-generation families toward.
Golf trips
Any Deluxe category. You will be out at El Cortés from early morning, and the golf course view rooms put the first tee in sight from the balcony.

Questions
Frequently asked
What is the maximum occupancy of a room?
The Sea View Deluxe Double takes two adults and two children under 12. Deluxe rooms are sized for two adults. Super Suites, with a sleeper sofa in the living room, take more — confirm the exact configuration with the hotel when you book, since bedding varies between individual suites.
Can I get connecting rooms?
Some Deluxe Double rooms are equipped with a connecting king room, and some Sea View Deluxe King rooms can connect to a double. Both are subject to availability and should be requested when booking rather than at check-in.
Do the suites have a kitchen?
No. Super Suites have a wet bar, a personal refrigerator, a dining table and a seating area, but not a full kitchen. If you want to cook, the aparthotels and apartments in our La Paz directory — Las Gaviotas, Playa de La Paz by Lumina, Puerta Cortés Residences — are the better fit.
Is there a bathtub?
Super Suite Sea View includes a bathtub. Deluxe categories and the garden-side Super Suite have showers. Grab bars in bathrooms are fitted in the suite categories.
